NORA BENNETT DRAG

Suppose God exists. Why think philosophy can actually tell us anything meaningful about Him?

YOU DRAG

Because we can reason from effects to causes, and from contingent things toward what explains their existence.

But why couldn't the universe itself simply be the final explanation? Why introduce something beyond it?

YOU DRAG

Because the universe appears to contain contingent states rather than explaining why anything exists necessarily.

YOU DRAG
